Angels' Jo Adell Struggles to Regain Form Since Return
Slow Start
Since returning to the major leagues earlier this month, Los Angeles Angels outfielder Jo Adell has struggled to regain his previous form. In seven games, the 23-year-old has recorded just four hits in 23 at-bats (.174 average), with no extra-base hits and only one RBI.
Missed Opportunities
Adell's struggles have been particularly evident in key situations. In Friday night's game against the Houston Astros, he struck out twice with runners in scoring position. On Saturday, he grounded into a double play with the bases loaded.
Adjustment Period
Manager Joe Maddon attributed Adell's slow start to an adjustment period after being sent down to the minor leagues in mid-May. However, Maddon expressed confidence that Adell would eventually find his rhythm.
